WhatsApp is now almost ready to free users from the burden of keeping en extra app for video calling. Yes this is true, WhatsApp is testing this feature for android and iOS users. Although this is already available with windows phone users in beta mode.
WhatsApp is undoubtedly the leading chat app across the globe. With over 1 billion active users and owned by Facebook, WhatsApp is leading towards almost capturing the chat app world alone.
A Spanish website OneWindows.es was the first to spot the feature when it said that a new feature is appearing in the window handsets in beta mode. This feature has been added by enabling by server side change so users don’t need to reinstall the application. When pressing the call button on app user is given two options: video calling and voice calling. Option of changing from front to rear camera is also there.
WhatsApp has recently rolls out a new feature for iOS and android users like snapchat. This feature allows user to drag over the images and videos shot by phone camera. They can add emojis and text on the call. An option of group chat is also available as admin of the group needs to share the link with users.
The company has announced that it will share some of the users data like contact number, usage pattern etc with its parent company Facebook for advertisement.
