Nokia’s Phones set to return with Android in early 2017

Nokia, once an established brand in mobile market is all set to make it’s return next year. In May this year Nokia has announced about it’s return in mobile and tablet market. Today Nokia has provided more details as soon as it finalizes a licensing agreement with Finland based HMD Global.

HMD Global has got an exclusive global licence today to manufacture Nokia branded mobiles/tablets for next 10 years. Furthermore Nokia has also confirmed about making an announcement on Mobile World Congress 2017. (Mobile World Congress will be held on Feb 27 next year).

Nokia may launch its rumored Nokia D1C with two variants on MWC next year. According to Nokia Power User D1C will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 1.4 GHz and will come in 2GB and 4GB variants. Android version that will come with Nokia is expected to be Nougat(Android 7.0).

The camera of  Nokia D1C variants will be available in 13 megapixel and 16 megapixel for rear and the front camera for both will be of 8 megapixel. Rumors says that Nokia smartphones will be available with waterproof capability alongside metal body design.


After all this we will be left waiting until early 2017 to get the news of  launch. The coming year will important for android users as a new product will make its entry. It will be interesting to watch that how an old player will compete with the current established brands in smartphone market. Nokia has iPhone, Samsung, Sony and many more to compete with.
