RBI on Tuesday has announced that it will soon release new notes of Rs 100 with enlarged identification features.
RBI will issue new notes of Rs 100 in the Mahatma Gandhi series-2005, in which both the numbering panels will miss the inset letter this time.
The new note will have 2016 as printing year, and will hold the signature of RBI Governor Urjit Patel. The new note will have ascending size of numerals in number panel and Bleed lines on the observe.
The issuance of new not will not come at the cost of ending the legality of present Rs 100 note. Both will be in circulation at the same time.(Old notes will also be valid with new note).
Earlier RBI also has said that it will issue new Rs 50 and Rs 20 notes.
This will be a big relief for people who already has facing the problem arises after ending the legal tender of Rs500/1000 notes. This will simply increase the amount of Rs 100 notes in circulation.
RBI this time came with the quick solution, But the currency of New Rs 100 notes will have to be in circulation as soon as possible.
